Linköping

That's Linköping, pronounced lin-shep-ing.

James from the Shins, Rosie Thomas, and Sam from Iron and Wine.
Fellow countrymen! Nice people! Yay!

Rosie and Sam.

That's a lot of drunken Swedes.
How do I know they are all drunk? Because it's Sweden.

Tove wanted to know if my camera can make movies. Well, no.
Tove said well mine can, and I got it for free with a magazine subscription.
Tove got mad when James and I wouldn't tell her what "sassy" means.
You can see Tove's photos from tonight here.

Lisa and Annika taught me some cool Swedish slang,
like discorökare — literally, "disco smoker."

At one point "Danger! High Voltage!" by the Electric Six came on, and moments before
everyone went crazy, Annika stopped dancing, held her finger in the air,
and announced solemnly: "This is a discorökare!"
Hell yeah it is.
